The Umuduru Egbeaguru Progressive Youth Onuimo LGA happily expressed their gratitude and acknowledgment to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Dr. Paul Emeka Obi, the workaholic and performing Chairman.
The organization, which is led by Hon. Tochukwu Nwokoro (Agbala), during the last meeting of the association, communicated their satisfaction with the performance of the chairman, who is making tremendous efforts to develop Onuimo.
In a statement released to the press, Hon. Tochukwu states that the administration of Hon. Dr.Emeka Obi has done credibly well within a short time in office. He noted that Onuimo was wallowing in the pools of backwardness and lacked administrative tact and push, but this present administration is making appreciable efforts in developmental strides, which Onuimolites can attest to.
“We want to profoundly thank our amiable chairman for all he is doing for the people of Onuimo. Because government and governance are all about the people. Taking care of their basic social needs and protecting lives and properties. This administration has not only shown signs of working for the people, but they have demonstrated it in the grading of roads, taming insecurity, renovation of some basic infrastructures, and working in synergy with traditional institutions, the youth bodies, and the women’s wings; all to see that everyone is onboard the plane of developing Onuimo.
“At this juncture, it crucial we eschew politics of bitterness and pull him down syndrome to unite in recognizing and supporting the team’s efforts to initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents”, Nwokoro said.
Against this backdrop, the attention of the Umuduru Egbeaguru Progressive Youth Onuimo LGA has been drawn to a trending video made by a certain Nollywood Actor Kingsley Orji, popularly known as “Egbeigwe” on his Facebook page concerning the ring roads grading undertaken by the Executive Chairman of Onuimo LGA, Hon. Dr. Paul Emeka Obi.
While we would not want to join issues with the content creator against the fallacious and baseless falsehood he is peddling among the page viewers concerning the just concluded ring road grading which he allegedly said to have been done by faceless individuals from Umuduru Egbeaguru clan. This is not just far from the uncontestable truth that is obvious to all but the handiwork of a mischief maker and purveyor of misinformation. We will encourage him to rather use his time and energy for a useful vocation or get his facts correct and unambiguous before creating misleading content for public consumption to avoid this level of infantile and unstructured cheap propaganda against a performing team.
The beauty of democracy, as we are practicing in Nigeria, is that it gives room for criticism but not unconstructive ones and, to say the least, outright and blatant lies that are capable of setting the polity on a convulsive path.
In line with the clarification of the government that the said project was carried out by the Executive Chairman of Onuimo LGA and part of the program of rural opening agenda of the “Shared Prosperity Government” led by Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Executive Governor of Imo State, which took place in other LGAs in the State; We, the Progressive Youths of Umuduru Egbeaguru, hereby, disassociate ourselves from the falsehood and ill trending video created by Egbeigwe, and urge the good people of Onuimo and the general public to treat it as an outlandish comic content which belongs to the realm of laughter.
In good spirits, we humbly appeal to the Government of Imo State, through the Executive Chairman of Onuimo, to disregard the divisive, discordant, and sentimental content by Egbeigwe on the Facebook page and, importantly, treat it as content created to attract followers.

These are leaders who genuinely care for the welfare of the people they are serving and are consciously making a significant impact in communities.
We conclude by appealing to the people of Onuimo to support the Government and reaffirm the confidence placed in the Executive Chairman of Onuimo LGA by the people and their hope for continued positive change under his leadership.
