Quinquagenarian Passage of a Quintessential Leader.

The Umueze Progressive Forum Worldwide (UPFW) solemnly announced the demise of their leader, patriot, icon of hope, and consummate administrator, ESV, Caleb Nwagbo, whose death occurred on July 29, 2024, after a protracted illness.

ESV Caleb was a reliable father, mentor, counselor, and humble man with a heart of love and gold to Umueze Progressive Forum Worldwide, the Obudi people, his immediate environment, and all who came in contact with him while alive.

As a thoughtful and impactful leader who has served UPFW in various positions meritoriously with trademark achievements, such as the Chairman of Umueze Lagos Branch and the coveted National Chairman of Umueze.

His administration heralds unity, a profound sense of brotherhood, and progressive and associative strength.
Born in November 1965 in his hometown, Umueleba, Umueze Obudi Agwa, Oguta LGA, Imo State, into the loving family of Mazi Jonah Izunwanne Nwagbo of blessed memory.

ESV. Caleb made a distinctive start and result at Obudi Agwa Town School, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) and afterward went to three secondary schools.

Being trained in Estate Management by Dayo Odekeye in Lagos, the passion to learn more drove him to be awarded a Diploma in Estate Management from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

Not satisfied with this, ESV Caleb was to advance his intellectual quest for knowledge at the University of Lagos to obtain his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Estate Management and Regional Planning, making him an authority in the global profession.

ESV Caleb Nwagbo belongs to various professional bodies like
-Association of Nigeria Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV).

  • Member, Nigeria Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board (ESVABON).
  • Member, African Real Estate Society (AFRES).
  • Fellow, Certified Institute of Auctioneers of Nigeria (FCIAN).
  • Fellow and Council Member of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management of Nigeria (FISMMN).
  • Fellow, Institute of Corporate Affairs of Nigeria (FICAN).
  • Fellow and Council Member of the Institute of Direct Marketing of Nigeria.
    ESV Caleb was an active member of the defunct Agwa Friendship League, which metamorphosed into the Agwa Central Union (ACU) and Obudi Development Union (ODU), Lagos Branch.

ESV Caleb Nwagbo was the CEO of Caleb and Associates, an establishment that, in combination with his towering educational heights and exposures, took him around the world, where he participated in over 20 local and international conferences and workshops and delivered speeches and lectures on global best practices of land and property management and regional planning, amongst others.

ESV Caleb Nwagbo has four children from his affectionate wife, Mrs Anu Nwagbo, and grandchildren.

On behalf of the Umueze Progressive Forum Worldwide (UPFW), we call on the Umueze kindred, Obudi, the Agwa clan, Oguta LGA, Imo, Nigeria, and all the friends and associates of ESV Caleb Nwagbo to join us as we lay his body to rest on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at his country home, Nwagbo’s compound, Umueze, Obudi, Agwa, Oguta LGA, Imo State.
