OBUDI AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY ISSUES A COMMUNIQUE AFTER THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The people of the Obudi Autonomous Community, in what was tagged: “A New Face of Obudi,” convoke the Obudi General Assembly.
The event, which took place at the Uzi playground on Good Friday, the 18th of April 2025, under the reign of Prince Malachi Asor, the Regent of Obudi, Agwa Autonomous Community, and the President-General, Chief Vitalis Chimezie Ekeh, was well-attended by the Obudi sons and daughters.
The event witnessed memorable scenes and feelings among the attendees after years of not witnessing such a gathering due to insecurity, which claimed the life of the late HRM, Eze (Dr.) Ignitus Ononogbo Asor, Udi I of Obudi Ancient kingdom, and many others were killed during this time.
Some of the highlights of the general assembly were to put Obudi back in peaceful ways and reorganize the community to be law-abiding people as they were known before.
The gathering also talked tough of criminally minded people to either leave Obudi for good or get ready to smile the coffee.

Casimir Ohamara, ISOPADEC Commissioner, Hon. Williams Chinedu Okenesi, Supervisory Councilor for Education and Secretary, APC, Oguta, Hon. Christina Okoro Councilor Obudi Aro Ward, and the Majority Leader of Oguta Legislative Council.
Others include the Bishop of Mercy Assembly International, Bishop (Dr.) DivineKing Akalador, Inspector John Kennedy Ukaoha, Chief Orikaeze, Mr. Pascal Uzomezie, the coordinator of the event, the Umuada group, a youth body, members of the clergy, palace, among others.
