Prof. Ugo, a family health physician based in Melbourne, Australia, is the president of Agwa in Diaspora Forum (ADF) Worldwide and patron of Umuofeke Agwa General Assembly Worldwide,President, Ohaoma, Oguta Development Forum(OODF), Worldwide,Grand Patron Umuofeke Peace Mission Initiative, 2022-2024 grand patron, Inside Agwa News, Newspaper ,member, Agwa Elders Forum,and member, Agwa Central Union, who has used these veritable positions to drive and advanced collective development of Agwa and its environs despite his demanding profession as medical doctor and knowledge giver.

It would be recalled that Professor Humphrey Chukwuemeka Ugo was on the 12th of November, 2024, awarded and decorated a Professor of Public Health and Community Medicine, Family Physician and Clinical Microbiologist; from the prestigious British American University, Florida, USA. This feat, made him to join the ranks of academic Professors all over the world, becoming the First Professor produced by Umuofeke Agwa Autonomous Community after being the First medical Doctor from Agwa extraction and above all, increasing the numbers of academic Professors from Agwa to five in this order- Prof. Godfrey Ahaoma Alozie-Obodo, from the Imo State University (IMSU), Professor Amanze Unagha, Abia State University, Uturu, Nigeria, Professor Innocent Madufor, from Federal University of Science and Technology (FUTO), Owerr, Imo State, Professor Kenneth Ibe, from Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Efurun, Delta State, and Professor Humphrey Ugo, from the British American University Florida, USA.
On November 12, 2024, Stand-up For Women Society (SWS) awarded Professor Humphrey Ugo an award of “Service to the Masses” in recognition of his pro-people philanthropic activities in Nigeria. The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Diocese of Egbu Cathedral Church of All Saints, Egbu, had on December 18, 2024, presented an award of honour to Professor Humphrey Ugo as “God’s Ambassador” in recognition of his outstanding character and commitment towards the family, church, and humanity at large.
The doyen of community service and servant-leader, Prof. Humphrey Ugo, shall be due for another Meritorious Award again in recognition for his love for humanity and the church on January 5, 2025, by the St. Michael Anglican Church, Obudi, Agwa, Oguta LGA, Imo State.
