Mbutu-Nwaorie people in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, Imo State, Nigeria, seem to have gotten over the vacuum created by the death of their traditional ruler.
On Tuesday, 14 May 2024, at the Imo State House of Assembly Complex, a high-powered delegation presented Eze-Elect Hon. Anthony Emeh, to the lawmaker representing Aboh Mbaise State Constituency, Hon. Princewill Ugochukwu Amuchie.

In his remarks, the spokesperson of the delegation, Hon. Iwejuo Onyenakazi, described Eze-Elect Anthony as the “Choice of the People” who has been serving the community selflessly and philanthropically.

Hon. Peter Iwejuo Onyenakazi went further to say that the character we are presenting to you is a worthy son of the soil whose services to the people of Mbutu-Nwaorie Autonomous Community are worth emulation.

According to Iwejuo “This is the turn of Ihiteoha to ascend the thrown. The Mbutu-Nwaorie Autonomous Community in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, Imo State is two towns (Ihiteoha and Ubahi), and eight villages. The late traditional ruler is of Ubahi town and as a people that follows her constitution, this is the turn of Ihiteoha town to produce the traditional ruler and Hon. Anthony Emeh, has won the appeals of the people and emerged.
He was screened and certified by the Central Executive Screening Council (CESC), chaired by High Chief Orimiri.

” Part of the requirements of the Mbutu-Nwaorie Community is that for someone to aspire to become the traditional ruler of the community, such a person must have served the community in any capacity to the least of “Town Crier”.

In addition to this, the person must also, be of good character without crime or questionable spot and must not be less than 21 years.

In all of these requirements, Hon. Anthony Emeh scored above his competitors who either have one record of certificate forgery, or falsification of the school attended.

“It will interest you to know that before now, this committee has presented Eze-Elect to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and also gone to their headquarters for familiarization.

Being the only voice of Aboh Mbaise at the 10th State Assembly, we considered it cogent to present Eze-Elect, Anthony Emeh, to you”.

About Hon. Anthony Emeh

He is a Chartered Accountant with a grand record of services. He attended verifiable institutions from primary, secondary, and tertiary education.
Before going into partisan politics, Emeh practiced as a Chartered Accountant for many years blemish. He was a former councilor and a Special Adviser to a one-time Federal Lawmaker.

Reacting to the August assembly, the Minority Leader of the Imo State House of Assembly, thanked the people for presenting their choice of a traditional ruler, “Eze-Elect” Anthony Emeh, to him.
He assured them that he was not going to be a hindrance to the people’s choice, that so long as the system that brought him to be chosen was credible which seems to be, by their explanation, that he was going to do his best to actualize the choice of the people because, he is also, the choice of Aboh Mbaise people.
