Hon Engr Innocent Ikechukwu Ikpamezie, the very vibrant Member Representing Mbaitoli State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, celebrated his 2025 birthday on the 15th of June 2025. And as should be expected, family members, friends, political associates, businessmen, constituents, and well-wishers, etc, honoured his invitation to celebrate with him, thanking God for the gift of life and good health.
As a man who knows his life is in the hands of the Almighty Father, Hon Ikpamezie was, first, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church Aladinma, Owerri, to appreciate God for preserving and protecting him. It was, indeed, a Thanksgiving like no other, as a huge crowd, led by the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Her Excellency Lady Chinyere Ihuoma Ekomaru, PhD, accompanied him to the altar.
Thereafter, all roads led to Rock-View Hotel Owerri, where the party proper took place. Indeed, Sunday 15th June 2025 will remain indelible in the minds and hearts of residents in Owerri, as the State capital practically stood still for the man of the moment, Innocent Ikechukwu Ikpamezie, the lawmaker whose voice has remained the loudest for the people of Mbaitoli State Constituency, and whose representation has been marked by purposeful legislative activities and responsibilities.
Oh yes, with over 12 sponsored Motions, 50 cosponsored Motions, 2 sponsored Bills, and over 10 cosponsored Bills in just two years of his inauguration as a lawmaker, Hon Ikpamezie deserves to celebrate. He needs to rejig himself and straighten his legislative nerves, because the real work starts at midterm. Again, as one whose office is one of the busiest at the Imo State House of Assembly, as he daily attends to his Constituents, this tireless lawmaker deserves some play, so he doesn’t become dull, and his birthday event provided the opportunity.
The Sam Mbakwe Hall of Rock-View Hotel was adorned with splendor and joyous celebrations, as the event became a carnival.
The event was indeed, a Referendum on Hon Engr Innocent Ikechukwu Ikpamezie’s relationship with people, as dignitaries from all walks of life, both on the vertical dimension and on the horizontal dimension, graced the occasion, which further added colour to the grandeur of the celebration.
Leading the pack on the vertical dimension was his immediate constituency, the Imo State House of Assembly, which came with two legs. While the Majority Leader of the House and Member Representing Owerri-west State Constituency, Hon Chief Kanayo Onyemaechi led one of the legs, with other lawmakers on the entourage, the Clerk and Head Legislative Service, Chinelo Adaora Emeghara, Esq, led the second leg, with staff gracing the occasion.

While the Executive Chairman, Hon Ifunanya Nwanegwo and the APC LGA Chairman, Hon Kelechi Obi led one leg, with their large entourage, Prof Cona Chinedu Asinu-Anosike (President General, Mbieri Wu Otu Oke Union), Hon Chief Barrister Prince Marcon Nlemigbo (Ochiriozuo), Rtd. General Sunday Chikwe, Hon Prince Kelechi Ngumezi, Hon Baba Ali Ezewuihe, Hon Austin Egejuru (P. G. Ihitte-Mbieri Autonomous Community), etc, led the second leg, with their large entourage.
Hrh Eze Dr Vitalis Achilike, Ihieri of Ihitte-Mbieri, Elder Nath Nwosu, Prince Dr Obi Uwandu, Hon Chief Barrister Chrisnab Nwabia, etc, led the third leg, with their large entourage.

The highlight of the occasion was the cutting of the Cake by the celebrant, Hon Engr Innocent Ikechukwu Ikpamezie, assisted by his wife (Lady Lynda Ikpamezie), Hon Ikenna Ihezuo, Hon Emeka Ozurumba, Hon Princewill Amuchie, Chinelo Adaora Emeghara, Esq, Hon Kelechi Obi, Prince Marcon Nlemigbo, Hon Ifunanya Nwanegwo, and a Man of God.
The event was anchored by several Masters Of Ceremony, including; MC Emperor, etc. Several live Band music and Dance Groups entertained guests, including the Holy Cross Catholic Choir.
Food and drinks were served in surplus, And as the festivities, which started in the afternoon, continued later in the evening, dancing took center stage, which was evident that Hon Engr Innocent Ikechukwu Ikpamezie, whose Chieftaincy Title is Nwachinemere is indeed, a reflection of God’s Grace, God’s Affection and God’s Glory. No wonder the vibrant lawmaker, who is the House Committee Chairman on Environment in the Imo State House Of Assembly has continued to stand tall, not only in legislative activism, but also in selfless service to humanity and of course, in tirelessly advocating for the rights and interests of the less privileged in the society.
