James Uba Esile, the Member Representing Onuimo Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, for what it described as “exemplary leadership and impactful grassroots development.”
In a statement released by the Coordinator of the Okigwe Local Government Area Chapter, Comrade Charles Chukwuebuka Nweke, the group praised Hon. Esile—who also serves as the Founder and President of the Fresh Air Movement—for demonstrating a rare blend of transparency, accessibility, and strategic empowerment initiatives.
“Hon. James Uba Esile has proven to be a true servant-leader,” the statement read. “From infrastructure rehabilitation to youth-targeted empowerment programs, his contributions continue to transform the lives of constituents. His representation brings renewed hope and a breath of fresh air to Onuimo and its people.”
The Fresh Air Movement spotlighted several of Hon. Esile’s recent empowerment initiatives, including:
Distribution of vocational tools to skilled youths and artisans
Provision of educational scholarships to indigent students
Support for local entrepreneurs and small businesses

According to Comrade Nweke, these programs have created a significant socioeconomic impact in Onuimo, especially for women and youth, helping to reduce poverty, stimulate small-scale enterprises, and foster self-reliance.
The movement called on other elected officials across Imo State to emulate Hon. Esile’s people-oriented leadership style and to deliver on their mandates with sincerity and focus.
“Effective governance begins at the grassroots. Leaders like Hon. Esile are setting a benchmark for responsive and responsible representation. We encourage all lawmakers to prioritize people-first policies to accelerate sustainable development across the state.”
The Fresh Air Movement reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with visionary leaders and community-based stakeholders to promote inclusive development across all local governments in Imo State.
