AS BARR CAJETAN OSISIOMA BAGS AWARD IN LEADERSHIP SKILL.
Skills are abilities or expertise that allow someone to accomplish a task or set of tasks. However skills varies which are but not limited to communication, leadership, teamwork and creativity skills, etc.
Today the 17th day of July 2024, the faculty of Research and development of Alvan Ikeokwu Federal University of Education marked World Skills Day with a notable celebration.
The one day conference of world skills day was an avenue which avails the students of the institution the opportunity to understand the need to have physical skills amidst the quest to pursue a university certificate.
However, many notable personnel where awarded for their personal contributions to leadership skill, community development contributions and research which among those awarded was Barrister Cajetan Osisoma who received a prestigious leadership award. The event held amidst great enthusiasm and fervor, underscored the university’s commitment to promoting skill development and recognizing outstanding leadership.
Barrister Cajetan Osisoma’s an outstanding lawyer as well as an international scholar/researcher whose achievement in receiving the leadership award was a highlight research experiences emphasizing his significant contributions to education, leadership and community development both home and abroad. His dedication and exemplary leadership qualities have inspired many within and beyond.
This occasion was grassed by institutions DVC, HOD’s, Students, faculty members, and distinguished guests like the Honorable commissioner for youth development all present to commemorate this Day, the event also reaffirm the importance of honing practical skills and fostering leadership qualities among the youth.
While accepting and acknowledging the award, Barr Cajetan dedicated it to all the students of good thoughts present at the event while noting that the University’s initiative in celebrating World Skills Day not only acknowledges the importance of vocational skills but also underscores its role in shaping future leaders. He laid emphasis on handwork, believing in education no matter your background as well reminding the students that the occasion served as a testament to the university’s dedication to excellence in education and its commitment to producing well-rounded graduates capable of making positive contributions to the society provided they are committed to success.
Overall, the celebration was a resounding success, highlighting both Barrister Cajetan Osisoma’s exemplary leadership and the university’s proactive approach to promoting skills development and leadership among its students and faculty.
