Get treated for free

The Hepatitis C Elimination and Hepatitis B Control Program is an initiative by the Imo State Government to help its citizens suffering from these diseases. Initially, no health facility in Agwa was included in the list of benefiting communities, for reasons that are unclear. However, thanks to the efforts of the Agwa Central Union (ACU) executives and Mr. Jumbo Obinna Kingsley, the project has been extended to the Agwa community.

The good news is that anyone who tests positive for either of these diseases will receive treatment free of charge.

The project is sponsored by the Imo State Government, Good Hope Flourish Foundation, Sepat Pharmaceutical, Pharco Pharmaceutical, Fidelity Bank, among others.

The program will conclude on Thursday, July 4, 2024. It began at the Obudi Health Centre and will move to the Mgbala Health Centre on June 22nd.

There is no reason why anyone in Agwa suffering from these diseases should not take advantage of this golden opportunity, which compensates for the sacrifices of our leaders.

This is a clarion call to all to reach out to their families and loved ones to participate in this exercise. Inside Agwa News gathered that the coordinator is Mr. Jumbo Obinna Kingsley. He can be reached at 07052041424 or 07036332424.

Together, we will make Agwa better in our time!
