The atmosphere in Okigwe is charged with anticipation and pride as the Fresh Air members turned out in full force to welcome its President and Founder, Hon. Dr. James Uba Esile, to the Sixth Synodic Lecture Series of the Okigwe Diocese of the Angelic Church, Nigeria.

Speaking to the press, the Director-General of Fresh Air Movement Imo, Hon. John Mbonu Uchenwoke-Ekperechi, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Rt. Rev’d John Chigozie Sunday Obinali P.h.D., the Bishop of the Okigwe Diocese, and the Diocesan leadership for selecting Dr. Esile as the keynote speaker for the prestigious 2025 lecture series.

“This invitation is a clear testament to the humanistic values and leadership excellence of the ‘Fresh Air’ of our time,” the DG stated.

He lauded the event’s Planning Committee for their thorough preparations and coordination, ensuring a smooth and impactful occasion. According to him, the Fresh Air Movement is deeply rooted in its mission to uplift the masses and grassroots communities across Imo State, and the event marks another milestone in this journey.

Hon. John confirmed the presence of all 27 LGA Coordinators and State Executive Members of the Movement, all of whom came in solidarity to support their principal.

“Our presence here today demonstrates maximum loyalty to an uncommon legislator with a human face,” he added.

Also speaking at the event, the State Woman Leader of Fresh Air, Lady Peace Nnadi, praised Dr. Esile for his visionary and people-oriented leadership.

“He is truly a blessing to his constituents. The people of Onuimo are enjoying the real dividends of democracy and are proud to have him as their representative,” she said.

When asked about the structure of the Fresh Air Movement, the DG emphasized the expansive reach of the group.

“Fresh Air Movement Imo is a well-constituted socio-political movement with presence in all 27 Local Government Areas, 305 INEC Wards, and every polling unit in the state. We are everywhere in Imo,” he confidently stated.

In a significant remark, Hon. John extended his gratitude to the Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, DSSRS, for his developmental strides and good governance.

“Governor Uzodimma is a man of quality and taste. His transformative projects across the state speak volumes,” he concluded.

The event not only reinforced the prominence of the Fresh Air Movement in Imo’s socio-political space but also highlighted Dr. Esile’s growing stature as a respected voice in both religious and political discourse.
