Hon. Chief (Dr.) James Uba Esile, the House of Assembly Member Representing Onuimo State Constituency, has been invited to deliver the keynote address of the Anglican Diocese of Okigwe, Imo State.
This development was convened in a letter signed by the Chairman of the Synod Central Planning Committee, Chief I. I. Enweruzo, the Clerical Synod Secretary, Rev. Canon Daniel C. Nnadi, and His Lordship, the Rt. Rev’d John Chigozie Sunday Obinali, PhD, the Bishop, Anglican Dioceses of Okigwe, Imo State, Nigeria.
Hon. Esile will be speaking on the topic titled: “Dedication and Commitment: Core Concepts for Political Elites in the Advancement of God’s Kingdom and Societal Peace” on Saturday, 28th of June 2025, at the All Saints Anglican Church, Okwelle, Onuimo LGA, Imo State.
The Anglican Synod is one of the most important spiritual and administrative convergence in the circle of the Church of Nigeria. Grounded in both Scripture and Anglican doctrine, the Synod represents a channel of worship, governance, assessment, and periodic renewal.
For the Okigwe Diocese, under His Lordship, the Rt. Rev’d John Chigozie Sunday Obinali, PhD, the Bishop, Anglican Dioceses of Okigwe and indeed the Church of Anglican Communion, Nigeria, the Synod is an epochal spiritual gathering—it is a sacred convocation guided by the Holy Spirit for the development and progress of the Church and society.
Esile, an advocate of moral sanity and good governance, has been very busy since he was elected to serve the people of Onuimo in the Imo State House of Assembly, promoting humanity and calling for a peaceful co-existence.
Hon. Chief James Uba Esile, who is also the Founder and President of the Fresh Air Movement, Imo State, recently, flagged off “Heavy Duty Vehicles” (Trucks) driving training to the people of Onuimo and Imo State via the Fresh Air Movement, in other to empower the youths and those who enrolled into the program with global selling skills to earn a living and contribute to the economy of the State, expressed his unrestrained gratitude to the Bishop of Okigwe Anglican Diocese and the Central Planning Committee, for finding him worthy to give the keynote address in an event as globally renowned and decked in spiritual and social benefits as the synodic gathering of the church of Nigeria.
“When I received the letter of the invitation, I felt not too special about it. Rather, I was more reflecting on the burden of answers and results expected in a topical lecture focused on a big holy gathering like this, which calls for everyone, regardless of position, to do everything possible to promote societal peace and advance God’s Kingdom”, Esile said.
