As Agwa Central Union (ACU, continues to expand its horizon in establishing State and Chapter branches, under the leadership of Barr. Benson Akunya, the Aba Men and Women branch held their monthly meeting on Sunday, 12 May 2024.
The Meeting of both wings was well attended as Apostle Isreal Oparaji, the Chairman of ACU Aba Men Branch, appreciated members for coming as well as admonished them to continue to encourage Ndi-Agwa of adult age who reside in Aba to join the union.
He further expressed his happiness about the recent peace development in the clan as he prayed for a much improved peaceful state for which Agwa was known in the past.
Meanwhile, the chairperson of the Women’s Wing, Lolo Onyinyechi Onwusor, was equally impressed by the turnout of the meeting.
She remarked that women are the bedrock of quality family values, development, and peace. As mothers, we must encourage our husbands, to do the right thing, give good parentage to our children, and ensure they stay out of crimes and violence, such as the deadly and destructive crisis that took almost all of us out of Agwa.
Importantly, we must continue to lend our support to the ACU National leadership and tell Agwa women residing in Aba that the ACU women’s wing is for peace, unity, and development.
